The early bird gets the worm ,and it was more than worthwhile getting up early to find this elusive little bird foraging in a small pond near a larger lake

Hi Suzanne, and welcome. This is nicely done. I like the water coming off the bill and the reflection. The image needs a good bit of CW rotation. Use the Ruler tool to draw a line through the centers of the concentric circles and then hit Image/Rotate/Arbitrary.

Welcome Suzanne. Lovely first post. Light and colours are great and the BG sets the bird off well. Droplets are a bonus. Looking forward to more of your images.

Lovely first post Suzanne. Really like the soft muted colours. Water drops and clean reflection are a big plus. Dave

What a lovely image Suzanne, I like active pose with droplets, and a good work with the exposure. Sharp too.

    Welcome to BPN!
Lovely bird and light. I would suggest a lower shooting angle. Ditto about the rotation.
