600MM Bag

Dear All
I am using 600mm VR lens of Nikon with D300
I have 300/F4 , 105 Macro , 50/f1.8
Most of the local birding trip I carry only 600mm with D300 attached and one converter (1.4x)
Can any one suggest me a bag which can accomodate 600mm with body attached ?
I dont want to put anything more in it as I have other bag which can accomodate all

All suggations are most welcome & much appreciated

Edgar, do you have a body attached to the 500, also is there room for a 1.4x on the lens with body attached? I assume the hood is reversed.

But before you buy there's one caveat which is it is 5-inches too big for carry on. Unless the airline is customer oriented (Read: Do not want a hassle) they'll make you check it in. Philippine Airlines is "customer oriented". ;)

On 300mm 2.8 lens hood is attached with 1.4X on 500mm F/4 is reversed with 1.4x.....:D

Lowpro make a 600 bag made specially for the 600 lens ,it is possible that they may now make a larger bag for the new 800 mm lens
I mention this because I bought and travel with the 6oo bag which will take my 500mm lens with body and 1.4 attatched to it
If you can find one it will work perfectly for you
If you are not in a hurry you can try mine out if I make it to Bandhavarh early next year

800's 0.1-inch taller than the 600. :) I have a 800 + body + extender and it fits the Lens Trekker. With hood reversed, mind you.

You are correct the bag IS too big (officially) for carry on...however there is a user of this bag who left a comment on my blog saying he actually uses his for carry on whenever he goes away. I'd certainly not risk it because knowing my luck I wouldn't get away with it. But it seems some airlines at least let you get away with it.
