    Nice use a vertical perspective John. I like how the twisted log enters at the lower right. I would have preferred to not see the clip of the log's tip at the left edge. Generally, cut so it looks like that was you intention for lines leading in and out of the frame and not clipped. Would a wider angle have included the whole log for a different composition?

    Placement of the mountain off-center to the left and balanced with the bush and cloud are a nice touch. Well done.

    That's a beautiful old piece of wood. It works well as a FG element in that lovely light. I would also prefer not to see the log cropped off on the left. Love the contrast of blue sky against warm landscape.

    A really nice image John. Bret and Robert coverred the minor flaws.... Well done.
