Hi all. Some of you have seen this before, just wanted to post it as an example.
I shot the sky and the bird, the lightning is an effect. ;)

Beautiful colors in the sky and I do remember this one. The composite work is very well done! Nice details on the topside of your bird. Love the lightening effect also.
lovely details on bird and great lighting effect ,

Hi Kerry, Good job on this! Strong color with diagonal lightening running through the image. The bird is placed in a nice location along with good detail. Very creative!!
Excellent composite. I love the colors and the bird with the burning eyes... diagonal lightning accentuates the image. Great creative piece!!
I remember this one well, Kerry! The effects and colors are awesome!
Paul, the lightning is an Alien Skin plugin.

Indranil, the "burning eyes" is exactly the look I was going for here. However, this is not an eye that you see glowing, rather it is the olfactory opening (nostril). The eye is the dark spot you see just under the wing. Turkey vultures have the largest olfactory system of any bird. They can smell carrion a mile away. They are also the only scavenger bird that is not capable of killing its prey. They can only feed on carrion. I find them to be fascinating.
