    Default Low tide...

I like the BG and habitat here so I left the bird small in the frame.
Also I left the seaweed and the small mud pile near the feet,
first I think I could not do proper job cloning and second I
wanted to it to be habitat shot. No major cloning here, few dust
    bunnies and dark patches.

Comments appreciated, especially on the seaweed and composition.

I like the angle, sharpness and head angle. The seaweed competes a bit for attention, I would crop a bit off the top.

Bird looks great with excellent exposure, pose, head angle, and detail and I like the comp!

I like the idea of going for more habitat but, in this case, I find the habitat a bit
dull and unattractive. The seaweed adds interest but wish that one piece didn't
come so close to the tail.

Ilija, comp works well, and I like the light and colours in this. Good pose and HA, and overall, nice and sharp.

A great head angle......reminds me of a "Captain Morgan ad". The BG looks dreamy....and I like that. I'd probably think about cloning out the vegetation as others have suggested but then I really didn't initially notice it. Well done.

Good pose and eye contact. I might clone out the seaweed but I like the color of the water. Nice details.

I'm with Mike...I don't mind the weed, but wish the taller strand wasn't so close to the tail. I like the image overall, but for me its the bottom edge that bothers me a bit - I'm not fond of the thin darker OOF area that weaves in and out of the bottom edge. Two options: 1) If you have it add a bit of canvas back to make it a good solid base (as posted it looks like you need less than 1/2 inch more), or, 2) crop a sliver off so the water is a solid base from the bottom center to to right edge (hope you understand what I mean?). Second option will need a crop from top too to balnce it out.

Thanks everyone on the comments, appreciated.
I think the consensus would be bit tighter in frame and
get rid of the seaweed or at least the part closest to the tail.
I 'll try it, although I don't think it will be an easy task.

    Cheers,

Mike, thanks on the comment, actually originally the seaweed was just about touching the tail.
I cloned just a wee bit of it. I guess I needed to get rid of a bigger chunk.

Yes I think I understand, I left too thin OOF bit in the front.
Out of the options you mentioned, I'd go with a tighter crop in this case.
