My father worked here many years ago (he passed away in 1968). It is now an historical site (go figure). They were one of the early departures to South America. It is really an interesting site, the buildings on a dammed area with the river running by. I was looking for some reflections. I used the 40D with the 70-200 f4 iso 800, 1/125 @ 5.6.

A+, I like everything about it as presented. Great composition, the 70-200 f4 is a killer lens.

Use of soft light is super!!!

Hi Carole - interesting place - like the composition, the soft light and the reflection.
Only thing I might do is remove the bit of the tree from the LHS and add a touch of sharpening.

Agree with Lance, LHS tree needs to be evicted.

LOvely looking image Carole. Great looking soft colours. I love the look of that old stone foundation, stained from the paint I suppose over the years. Well done. Dave
