    This is my first post here and it's an image that I have fought with for some time. The image was very soft and full of CA when it came out of the camera. Much of the nest below was very distracting so I chose an odd crop. The image was shot with a Pentax istDl with an old manual 500mm f4.5. I don't recall the aperature setting but it was probably f5.6, f8 tops. It was shot at 1/1000 sec and 200 ISO.

    Any thoughts or suggestions would be welcomed.

    Wow Grant, your avatar is scary looking. :)

    The image shows a great interaction between the birds. I like the layered blue BG. Even the nest has a nice, neat look to it. Well done.
