    Default Eagle from Lake Keystone

Went to Lake Keystone in Tulsa today to see if I might catch a glimpse of the eagles. This juvi gave me the opportunity to get some good images. The Arkansas River below Lake Keystone is a great place for eagles. While the Mark IIN is at Canon for some minor repairs and cleaning, the 40D did very good.

Nice composition and good sharpness. Looks like some difficult light but handled pretty well. A few bright spots.

Great focus on the eye. A very handsome bird!

Stare from the bird is very intense and a real eye grabber - pun intended. Nice an sharp too. Under-wing detail is pretty good considering the strong light.
