    Cedar waxwing going for just one more.
    D300, 80-400vr@400, ISO800, f6.3, 1/80, spot metering, AWB, fill flash.
    I think it may be just a little over flashed. What are your thoughts?

    The eye does look a touch off from the flash. There is also a little noise in the tail, which surprised me. Did you have to lighten it a good bit?


    I like the action implied in the "just about ready to spring" pose.

    I'd get rid of the green leaves in the lower left, bottom center, and the ones coming from behind the bird's back & "shoulder."

    Thanks for the comments. I did have to lighten the tail some due to shadow, probably a little to much dodging. I will take the green leaves out as suggested and possibly the oof red berries in urc.

    I like the idea and pose. The eye looks a bit overflashed and the OOF leaves sticking out of the bird and branches are a bit distracting.
