    From a trip this past June to Newfoudland One of the most fun and difficult to photograph in flight Speeding bullets and all taken at high magnification

    You don't see flying puffin too often so this is a real treat..great pose, nice details.. well composed... what part of newfoundland is this from... some day I would like to go there again..

    Hi Pat this is from Bonavista I believe the town was Ellison Easy to get to !!!

    Nice composition and a view not normally posted of this bird. Exposure looks good. Only one little bright spot in center of head, maybe tone that down just a tad. Great image!

    You did very well indeed Al!! You captured the Puffin at the right moment and nicely composed in the frame. I like it a lot!!!

    That mark III could focus on occassion.

    HI Art ..... it did focus on occassion Can't wait to get up there with my D3 !!!

    Dario they fly extremely fast and the 800 looks fine with the MK3 I was using the 600 and 2X which I forgot to mention (just edited) Stopping down one will make it a little better It was a combination of factors and tried getting the most

    With a different camera would have sacrificed the Speed for lower ISO and even would have made it wide open !!!

    The pose and wings look great. It's hard to get them sharp because of the high wing flap frequency.

    Awesome flight shot of this little guy. They are so beautiful and the action you captured in this image Alfred is outstanding. !!! I would be happy to just see one !!!
