11% Cashback on camera gear purchases

Yeah, that's right - 11%! Blew me away when I learned about this on the POTN net a couple of days ago when I consider what I have spent this past year on gear. Some are reporting cashbacks amounts up to $2,000.

Anyway, here is the thread and some tips:

If you do not have a Windows Live account, create one; afterwards, create a Bing cashback account.

Now, those of you who have preordered your 7D and you are not in any hurry and would give up you place in line to save 11%!

1. Sign into your Windows Live account

2. Click "search, shop, save" icon

3. Do a search on Canon 7D. That will take you to a window listing a bunch of 7Ds down the center and on the right side you will see a listing for a Canon 7D at Adorama and below that a listing for a Canon 5D also at Adorama. The diffence is that below the Canon 5D there is an icon that says "$Bing cashback".

4. Click on the $Bing cashback and it takes you to Adorama with a window that says you will get 11% cashback on everything you purchase during that session.

5. Once into Adorama do a search for the Canon 7D or for anything else you want to purchase.

6. Go through the checkout procedure and if you use PayPal the savings shows up almost immediately; if you use a credit card it takes up to 60 days before the cash appears in your Bing Cashback Account. After 60 days you can request that Bing send you a check for the amount in your account.

I can't take advantage of this for my 7D; too much of a hurry!!

However, I know how I am going to order my 1D4 if this is still available.

That is a really useful step-by-step guide, thank you for posting, as I am aware that there has been some confusion about how to use Bing cashback..
