Taken while out walking at Red Berry Lake, Saskatchewan. 50D, 500mm f/4IS at f/4, 1/125, ISO400 and tripod. I cropped some off right to eliminate some vertical stems. Dave

Really interesting colors. Too bad the bright OOF blade is in front of the yellow blade in the URC.

I like the idea and the composition. I think the bright spots are distracting and take something from an otherwise nice image. Love the diagonals!

Thanks for looking and commenting. I find grass interesting with all the colours and patterns but I sure find it hard to photograph. I quess for those very same reasons.

I like what you were going for, Dave. I, too, try to photograph grass and find I have to concentrate more on getting the lighting and the focal point established more than anything else. I think you found some sweet lighting and some good grass here but maybe moving your focal point would have helped anchor your image a bit more?

I do really like the diagonal lines and the shades of yellow and green. Beautiful!

Thanks Jules. I felt as soon as I had posted that the cropping had taken out some of the focal point and had shifted the balance too far right. Tks for commenting. Dave

I really like the colors and composition however I would have cropped out the right hand part of the picture to remove the blackened parts of the stem.
