Always nice to find a rare visitor to our area. Captured at Oceanside, Ca. a couple of weeks ago.

Really nice low angle. The diagonal of bird and the bg work nicely together. Not sure if I am seeing a bit of noise or if bird is a bit soft. Well done. Dave

The bubbles appear just a touch sharper to me than the bird. yet it is a pleasant image. great pose and nice to see a prey item in its bill. Is this a big crop?

I agree with Dave, the bird does seems a tad soft and noisy But the pose, low angle, ambient, BG, light and colors are wonderfull. Congratulaitons!

I really love the low angle you achieved and the bubbles and pose!

Love the bubbles. This is a worn, molting adult. And yes, the face could use a bit of sharpening. COMP perfect. The white triangle top center draws the eye.

I'm still jealous:) Love the light, pose, and mix of surf, and the rock in the BG. I would crop some of the empty space on top to get rid of the white triangle Artie mentioned.

    Keep them coming

Definately having a bit of trouble with sharpening on this bird. Is it possibly the feather structure? Here is a bit more sharpening. Distance from subject was just 45 ft. with 600 mm, so minimal crop. The white triangle was whitewater rolling in from a distance, does this look any better? Thanks again for all the excellent input.
