    Default Impala Ewe

I have just returned from a three day weekend in the Kruger National Park. We saw a lot of different sightings, and I hope to share them with you. The weather did not play ball, but after downloading, I am happy with the results. The BG is naturally OOF. I cloned out part of another very OOF buck in the BG.

The Impala buck is widespread across the park, and are in abundance. This buck is a popular meal for the carnivours.

I especially like the composition here with the neck coming out of the LR corner. Great OOF background and lots of DOF on the animal.

    Stuart,
I like this composition, expression in its face and the background.

sweet shot Stu! sometimes overcast skies help a lot in places like Kruger where the light can get quite harsh fairly early in the morning. hope to see some more of your trip! I am back from Kgalagadi and have about 3,200 images to work through - eish!

Hi Stuart, I find the composition very pleasing. The eye contact draws me in and hold my interest. The exposure look good with good detail. The background is complementary in my opinion. Nice! Thanks for sharing.

Great eye contact with super detail and wonderful BG. While I like it as is a lot, if it were mine I would consider lightening the eyes just a bit.

A good comp here for a situation in which I would have thought vertical first.

Really nice portrait here Stuart. A lovely subject, great BG, and nice light and detail. I also like the overall color tone of the image.
