    Default Juvenile Great Horned Owl

From a few months back, morning photo, did not have a very good angle because of branches. Adult was sitting about 5 o'clock to young about 2 feet away but was blocked by a large branch.

    John:

Always tough with the OOF foreground objects. If any bird can tolerate it, it would be an owl because of the power of those eyes to draw our attention.

I might try to lower the luminosity of the green leaves in the LLC, and perhaps play with some of the foliage that crosses over the body, to see if you can downplay it a bit. I also might try lowering the brightness of the sky in the LUC to keep our eyes focused on the owls eyes.

    Thanks for sharing.

Riveting stare! Tough conditions you had to compete against here. Good advise by Randy, and I will only add that there seems to be a slight colour cast (cyan).

I would tone down the bright spot in the BG, other than that, this image works just fine to me.
    Congratulations!

Owls don't usually sit on clean perches, so considering your circumstances this image works perfectly for me as is. Love the stare. Hope you have some more shots to share. :)
