Here's another acorn photo that I converted to tritone. I would particularly like your opinions on the BG, which is bits of hay. I blurred it a bit and did some cloning to hopefully improve it, but not sure if that's good enough. Any C&C are welcome!
Olympus SP-550 UZ
f4.5 @ 1/50, ISO 100, -0.7 EV
Aperture priority mode, pattern metering
Processed in PS CS2; cropped, curves adjustment, channel mixer, converted to tritone, some cloning and blurring on the BG, and added a vignette
Christopher I'd cut the top edge off the frame to alleviate the darkest areas of the BG. I'd also tone down the one light piece if hay lying right next to the acorn on the left side. Everything else is lovely! Nice job on the tritone and the BG.
Thanks Denise and Julie for your input. Here it is with the top cropped a bit and the light piece of hay toned down as suggested. Let me know what you think.
Hi Christopher, I feel the repost is an improvement since you took off some of the top and toned down some of the hay which both factors contribute to accentuating the acorn.
