Hi to all. It has been rather slow and uninspirational of late:(, but I got up this am and went to the local nursery so maybe fester up some inspiration. Florals are a bit new to me and I am not sure of the name of this one. And my macro lens is out for service so I used my 70-300VR on my D300 with a 20mm extension tube. f/14, iso 640 with flash at 1/60. C&C please welcomed:).
Nicely done Nancy. Nice use of flash and I like the diagonal compostion. Taking a really wild guess I would suggest Begonia as the plant. I also like the simple contrasting colours.
Dave
I think Dave might be right - it does look like a begonia to me also.
You've done a very nice job on composition and chosen a nice aperture for DOF. I think it might have been even more pleasing if the BG wasn't so dark in some selected areas - it almost overpowers the fragileness of the flowers to me.
Very beautiful ! I personally might make a tiny bit more room all around as it seems to me the bud on the right is a bit too close to the frame. Well done overall !!
