    Brown Thornbill Acanthiza pusilla photographed near Canberra. These lively bush birds are about 4" long.

    Canon 40D EF500 f/4 + 1.4 tc, ISO 400, 1/125, f/6.3, Av, A couple of oof twigs removed and cropped for composition, He was left of centre in the original frame. Neat Image NR applied.

    Very nice image. The close view provided some OOF parts on the bird but doesn't disturbing.
    Love the pose and the sharpness.

    Very nice. You were able to capture the bird at the right angle to keep it parallel to the sensor. I like the image very much. TFS

    Simon, I like the angled pose, and although the detail is there, I would maybe sharpen him a tad more. Lovely complimentary BG.

    I like the BG, sharpness, pose, perch and eye contact.
    A bit less room on the right and some more on the left would make it even better IMO.

    Excellent pose and BG Simon. I wish for better light for that would have instantly shown off the gorgeous eyes this little bushbird has. How did you get it to sit on a clean perch?
