    Default Viera Caracara

Hello to all. It has been a bit slow and very hot! But, today Viera was open so I went to see what was happening. There were lots of BBWD's, but only saw one group of chicks, who were well grown. The bald eagles are back, but mostly in the field to the west of the wetlands. The caracara's too were about and I got this one on the usual tree in the back. I thought it was a different look. What do you think?:) Taken with the D300, Nikon 500 f/4 with 1.4 TC, f/8, 1/1000, iso 640, PP in NX2.

It looks as if he is coming to get you. :) Interesting composition and I like the takeoff pose. A bit more eye contact would have been nice.

IMO the wing position is not the best, also on my monitor it looks a tad cold, but I like the species and the natural moment. Congratulatons!
