    The light marks at the end of the bill is pollen as he is feeding at a nearby bush. I like the head position as most of my hummer shots the bird is parallel


    1/2500 at f6.3 and ISO800 EC +1/3

    I agree, very nice head position, gives a better sense of eye contact as well. Nice wing position.

    I am seeing a fair amount of noise in the wings.

    How did you light this one?

    Scott:

    I appreciate the natural light hummer shots. I love some of the big setups, and would love to try them, but have done a modest amount of natural light shooting of our local ruby throateds, and appreciate the challenges of that style.

    I do think it would be worthwhile to do some modest noise reduction.

    Somewhere between the two would be about perfect for me. In the repost, you have started to lose too much detail in the middle of the forewing.

    Hi Scott, super comp and like the angle of the HB. Good job with the NR on your repost, and I feel it works with the motion blur of the wings.
