Desert Cats are quite rare to find during daylight.
I was on Safari in Greater Rann of Kutch when we came across this cat. It was my first sighting and this beautiful feline was completely at ease, giving me some pretty decent clicks.

    Rahul,

Welcome to BPN and the wildlife forum. Great first post. The cat is sharp as a tack and the yawn priceless. Soft BG keeps the focus on the cat. Well done.

Nice touch adding the link to info on the location, that is greatly appreciated.

Good capture Rahul. I like the "display" of the the fangs.

I have only heard of these in Kutch and Vijay Cavale has a gorgeous shot of one. Look for it on indiawilds or INW. I think I saw it on INW.

Fantastic pose Rahul...very nice! Regarding your composition...I would say that there is too much dead space on top. I wouldn't mind some more OOF foreground to balance it a bit more or crop a bit off top.

Great shrpness and wonderful yawn. Really shows those teeth. A bit of a crop from the top would be nice.

Priceless pose, sharp and lovely light Rahul. We'd be interested to know the equipment and setting you used to capture this image.

    Rahul,
Lovely image. I like the sharpness here. Though I don't mind the composition, a slight crop from the top would be fine too. Do post the exif details.

    Cheers,

Great light! Love the low angle and the detail in the cat.

Sweet light, and well timed to capture the yawn - shows off those sharp teeth nicely. Overall, the cat is pin sharp, and I like the DOF in this. Another vote to take a bit off the top.

Great light on a rare find... Very well done.. I might have had a bit less room above the cat for balance...
