    “Princess Yellow ”

This little princess came to visit my Pops garden. She was painted with a Nikon D3 using a Nikkor 300mm f/2.8G IF-ED VR lens, with a Nikkor 1.7 T/C, and a 12mm extension tube.

    Image Solution:
    focal length @ 510mm / exposure mode @ aperture priority / matrix metering / ISO @ 800 /1/640sec - f/11 / exposure comp @ -0.3EV / white balance @ cloudy / AF Mode @ AF–C, dynamic range /color mode @ sRGB / tone comp @ +1 degree / hue adjustment @ +1 degree / saturation factor @ +2 degrees / lighting solution – ambient light / support platform – monopod assist.

    Comments greatly appreciated...

    .... 300 2.8 .. neat !!!!

Love the sharpness, pose and detail !!! Might back down the green saturation and could be some halo around the tail? Amazing at the things you photograph in the garden !!!!!! ... the best !!!

Great sharpness and exposure, but what I like most about this image is the pose of the dragonfly, really nice. Agree about the halo around the tail.

D3 and 300f2.8 ?! No wonder you got that kind of details and tone. Wonderful sharpness. I do see some halo though
