    Default Leopard

Another image from my last trip to the Sabi Sand game reserve.
Cannot wait to get back in a few months.

I love the 3D feel to this image Danny. Very nice. However, there seems to be a greencast in this photograph which is easily removed in PS. Otherwise I'd tone down the greens a bit. A strong well composed portret.

I agree about the green cast. I love the eyes and the "look" the leopard is giving. Looks like a large crop.

I couldn't wait to get back for an image like this too. Excellent portrait, I especially like the stare and detail you've captured. That green cast is evident on the throat.

I like the composition and the eye contact. If you could have raised yourself a bit (no idea how) you would have avoided the small piece of sky below the face. I remember the various reasons for the green cast as speculated by people in your previous image sometime back. Overall, I like this image.

    Cheers,

Sabya, there is a unwritten rule in open viewing vehicles in Sabi, that one does not stand up in an open vehicle - it breaks the silhouette of the vehicle and disturbs the animals.

Great sighting Danny, and Sabi always produces great leopard images. I see the green cast too. Which camp did you stay in.

In addition to the green cast this looks a little oversaturated to me, Leopards do not generally have an orange tint.

I agree about the green cast but I do love the eyes, ragged ears and the little spot of blood on the coat giving the cat a completely wild and dangerous look.
