Today on an overcast morning I noticed this willet vigorously taking a bath. The gray/brown colors make for a rather bland image, but I like the distinct water drops on its back, etc. At the end of this grooming it spread and flapped its beautiful wings, but unfortunately i missed that. Cropped and tweaked . . .

    Hi Wendell,
I like the capture...the image is a tad under exposed, and a little on the soft side...I took the liberty in adjusting the mid-tones and the black point. I selective sharpened the eye and portions of the feather details...I also boosted the saturation and contrast...see if you like this...

    Hi Wendell

Agree with Gus on the histogram From the looks of the image and compensation would have to say its a least one stop under? Sure wish you could have nailed this one Did catch a good pose bathing !!!

This does look like the bird is taking a bath, however his face expession seem like he didn't enjoy it though. I really like the splashing water and the droplets, never see something quite like this before. Wish this is sharper.

I would of put the shutter speed higher, too me the bird is out of focus and with him moving around it doesn't help, you might of not got the water the way you did, but IMO it's about the bird. Great job. Keep them coming:)
