    very large crop.

OK, here's something different. No deer, no morning mist, just some morning dew. lol

Would a different cropping help this? This is a very large crop, and I do have the entire blossom and lots of foliage around it. But the subject is the bees, not the blossom.

need a macro set up for this. set up where the action is and fire away when they start buzzing around.

as is, i may crop a little off the bottom to eliminate the greenery. pretty good with that lens combo!!!

    Hi Cheryl,
I like the action here...:) I took the liberty of adjusting your image and composition by cropping and toning down the whites a tad, also increased the saturation and contrast and adjusted the mid-tones...see if this works foe you...

Very nice base photo and I like what Gus has done with it. Could maybe use a little more clean-up in the upper right corner.

Hi Cheryl - Gus's repost works for me - As mentioned a macro would have been the go here to really concentrate on the action. Like the action and the shadow of the bee.

I like it Cheryl The tight crop works very well

Difficulty in the macro images is getting full frame, here with the large crop you are using a wider lens and getting lots dof ... in close is all different that is what makes it a challenge !!!

Nice details for a large crop, love the buzzing bee and its shadow, wish I can see the whole body another bee. The dew on the flower is a really big plus. I also like the tighter crop version by Gus, it put the bees into focus more.

here is the crop I decided to go with....
for me, the flower (which is one I hybridized myself) is more important than the bees. The bees are significant in that they demonstrate the scent which is now in this blossom which was not there before. I hope this cropping makes the bees more significant, while it still shows the 3 new added petal characteristics of this plant.

    Thanks, everyone!!
