    this was taken at grassy waters in west palm beach.

    D50, 55-200 @ 185mm, f/5.6, 1/160s, ISO 400.

    Harold,

    I am really picky with gator images as I don't think many of them work. This one is in the working pretty well category. I like the minimal habitat (lilly pads in the water) as opposed to one beached on the shore. You have a lot of him out of the water and the head angle is good. I find the vertical reflection inthe front distracting and if you have no problem with doing this, you could clone it out.

    thanks robert, i agree. i dont think i've ever taken a good gator pic and this one kinda stood out. amazing all the gators around here and none are very photogenic!!!

    Robert handled the problems so all I can say is it's an interesting comp. Inclusion of the FG works with this image, show habitat well...
