Great light, eye contact and setting. I would go for a wider crop and if it were mine I might remove the trunk in the BG crossing the deer's right antler.

Good light, position, eye contact and impressive rack. Agree that truck in the BG is distracting.

Very nice pose in sweet light, Art. Another vote for evicting the offending trunk :)

Must have been very early morning to require ISO 5000. Nice results. It's a beautiful animal, lovely pose, and well-captured. As mentioned above, the trunk at center is rather distracting. I would also consider moving the elk a bit to the left, giving it a bit more room to look into and also, at the same time, getting rid of that less-distracting trunk at the left.

A little tight for my taste but a fine looking bull in some nice looking light.

ISO 5000? Nice fellow. A slight crop from the left to remove the tree at the left side of the frame would be good. I agree that it would have been good if the tree would not have been behind the antlers.

    Hi Art,

Impressive animal. Wonderful light and excellent exposure. IMO it is a bit too tightly framed and I have to agree that that trunks is a bit distracting.

I like the pose and light, Art. ISO 5000 - remarkable!! I'd too would be tempted to disguise the trunk behind antlers.

It is a fine stag in a good pose. I can not skip to note that with 5000 ISO the IQ is really impressive. Thank you for share.
