Tight in the frame was my first thought also. Although you don't have the best light angle, you can get away with it because the face is fully lit. Nice head angle and catch light!
Often on dingy days we disregard light angle but here, with the light from the left, the left side of the bird is shaded while the neck is borderline hot. Looking back I see that the weather could not have been that bad as there is a fairly sharp shadow. As always, pointing your shadow at the bird is the way to go when it is sunny...
later and love, artie

Yes I was a little to far to the right but i was as close as i could get to the edge of a pond in the cemetary and it is against the rules to think about going in the water
sometimes we just have to make do
as far as it being to tight in the frame I feel that the bird takes up only about 45 percent of the image and I guess i could have gone wider but to me 40 to 60 percent of the image being the subject matter is about right
John I also feel is a little tight Look a the virtual tail It would be right up against the frame I
One other think I could mention is having the camera pointed down right Would place the little guy more up and left Leaving more room to the right side of frame Seems to look better to have room in the direction the bird is looking
I like the image Excellent feel good exposure and sharp !!!!
