Here's another take on the Godwit at dawn. The pose is less interesting than the walking pose of the first (see repost of that one a few minutes ago); but in this one I somehow kept a bit more feather detail. I made some minor adjustments (de-sat and eye sharpening) based on comments of the first version. Looking at this as I uploaded it, I think it could be a bit brighter. Thoughts?

    C&C always appreciated.

Hi Bill Agree would go a little tighter particularly form the top !!!

After the fact and having seen the reflection would have gone for a horizontal cutting out most of the reflection. It is not very strong but in this vertical is needed for balance.

PS wise would desaturate a bit and lighten the bird some. Would also get rid of the bill shine if its is ok with you. This is sharper than the previous and still needs a little more !!!

Hi Bill - AL pretty much nailed it - does look soft on my screen. You have a good HA and eye contact - would loose the reflection - just not strong enough. Sweet Light.

Looking forward to seeing more :)

    Hi Bill,
I agree with Mr. Forns on the techs...good advise given. I do like the head angle and sharp eye contact...looking forward to your next one...

Agree to the comments. Good idea but too bad the reflection is not cooperating. Does look a bit soft on my monitor, too.

I like the HA and also that it is feeding, but on my screen it looks really blurry. I like the reflection for me it doesn't have to be perfect, like it a Lil distorted. TFS:)
