Any number of HA'S to choose from - this guy was very co-operative - want him looking straight down the barrel - got that one!!

    Handheld laying on the ground

Could fix the double catchlight I guess.
    Comments welcome.

I do prefer this one. Just not mad about the halo below the bill but that can be sorted in PP.

I do like the HA much better here, but I also miss seeing the tail. I would fix more than the double catchlight...there are about four extra highlights in the eye that should go :-) Again, great perch and BG!!

Much better now, great bird, like the raised leg posture.
    Agree about the eye correction...

This is a very striking species. The BG makes it even more striking. Like the raised foot and do not mind not seeing the tail.

Repost is a stunner - sharpness, colour, background, and getting that sharpness hand-held at that SS is impressive!

I prefer this one too....killer background. The feathers around the beak give it a nice "expression"

I like the pose with the raised foot. Good exposure, sharp, and just love the colour of the BG. Well captured.

Beautiful sharpness and pose. The BG is gorgeous and really sets the bird off well.

Well done, Lance. Lovely pose with the raised foot and beautiful BG. May be an option to darken down the perch a little.

Very sharp and great job with the exposure. Would prefer a bit more room at the bottom for the longish virtual tail.

This is fantastic. It pops so nicely from the BG and the one footed pose is great.
