I like the looks of this one. The grain on the flower give me an old and lonely feeling. Maybe try adding the grain to the background as well and see what happen.

The noise/grain could show up like tiny white/gray dots and thus "lighten up" the black background, or they wouldn't show at all as in the situation of black on black.
