    I've had great luck with these guys over the last several years in the latter half of September and early October. But never so far out in the open.

    That's a nice looking bird. I like the back side view and the forks in the tail feathers.

    Terry, you present us with a wonderful view of this species' back patterns! A couple of the lighter streaks within could be toned down a bit. I do wish you had a slightly better HA, but we do see all the major field marks well. I would also eliminate the small white circle on the perch beneath the bird. There is a bit of remnant "steel-eye" from the flash that needs cleaning-up, and there are a few odd artefacts - especially surrounding the bill and head (perhaps simply caused by jpeg compression). Congrats on a special sighting!!

    Beautiful markings. In addition, I would only add a little room at the rear! Well done!
