I could not take it anymore. I received a new 40D a week ago and had not had a chance to use it. It has been raining/snowing/cloudy for the past week+ straight. Today I went to the same location where I made the high key eider shots I have been posting lately. The sun came out for about 30 mins and quickly turned into sleet(snowy rainy windy mess for you floridians ). I packed up into my truck and then noticed a male eider swimming up the channel. I got my gear back out, retreated under a blanket and was able to make this image.
**** nice! Fab's trick of lightening a dark eye in a black mask might help this one as well. Three gold stars for being out there. There are lots of great pix to be made in bad weather. At Bosque we pray for anything but blue skies.
later and love, artie
