I like the stare and angle. I see a magenta cast on my monitor and if it were mine I might remove the stick in front of the bird and selectively sharpen the head a bit more.

I also see the magenta cast, easy to remove in color balance, just pull away from magenta into green.
Nice eye contact.

Hi Axel , Fabs .. THanks for pointing it out.. .. yeah i missed that one!! here's a repost wth color balance adjusted and a bit of sharpening of the head. .. let me know how this is..

Nice low angle and sharpness, repost is definitely an improvement:-) I would suggest removing the stick.
