    Default Lion leap

A small pride of three lionesses had managed to kill a wildebeest in a dirty swampy area. They tried to pull the carcass out of the mire, but could not, and they had to settle down in the murky waters to feed, resulting in becoming all black and unrecognisable. After feeding for some time they lay down nearby, but when a vulture dared to venture close, one of the lionesses leapt up to chase it away.

Excellent timing Ajit. Like the inclusion of the prey in the corner. (From the horns I'm guessing Topi or Hartebeest but don't quote me as minimal view to gauge accurately). That's one muddy lioness. TFS

    Ajit,

Lovely timing, I like the greens and the dirty lioness. Would have been great to also include the fleeing vulture in the frame....next time ! :)

Moment well captured Ajit. Was it overcast and what was the time relative to sunrise/sunset when the image was captured.
    Love the pose and comp.
