After I posted the first image I noticed the "virtual feet" may have been cut off and it wasn't real apparent that the bird was wading. Though normally I would(as in the first image) minimize a a poor reflection, these two factors came into play. Any opinions? regards~Bill
Hi Bill, I like the sepia tone and the position of the bird within the frame. My preference is the 2nd image cropped right above your name. Nice detail and my only preference would be lightening the eye a bit. Good job!
I too like the second one with all the details. Excellent effect. Beautifully done.
Very appealing image Bill. The second crop seems better to me but I like the original also. Love the tones and the high-key look with just a touch of color. Nicely done!

Bill, I think Dave got the crop right-the 2nd one w/ a tiny sliver off the bottom. I really like the HK BG for this and the monochromatic feel to the image. I agree w/ you regarding virtual feet and washed out reflections-it's always a tough call. Great job w/ the effect as always!
Very elegant image, Bill, I'm with the rest for liking the second image with a tiny bit off the bottom.
I agree with everyone else that the second one is better. Love the pose and colors, and great details!
Thanks everybody, and it seems we are all in agreement about the 2nd pose being better, with a little off the bottom. Also, Dave, I'm in agreement about the eye lightening as well. Appreciate the observations! regards~Bill
