    Denise:

Fine exposure, with good detail in both light and dark feathers. Nice HA, sharpness, very interesting eye.

The low angle here was a bit of a mixed bag. Nice angle on the bird, but for me the OOF is a bit distracting. Perhaps if you toned down the luminosity a bit it wouldn't jump out quite so much.

If you have some closer crops of the head and eye, I think they might look great. I like the BG.

    Thanks for sharing!
    Randy

Just a quick thought on cropping to accentuate the bird, slight darkening of OOF foreground. Some may not like the crop in from the right, but I feel like the bird still has enough space to look into.

Just an option. I think it rebalances the image, more bird, less OOF foreground.

Randy, Thankyou for taking the time to repost. I like the darker bottom.Good idea. Crop seems a bit tight, maybe somewhere in-between.

I like the back ground and the detail around the eyes, you handled the whites very nicely

I actually like the OP crop. The subject wasn't looking at his best :P but I like the pose, BG, low angle and light. Congratulaitons!

Like the original crop, background color is really nice. Great angle (you are getting some great low angle shots), and agree on the eye, very interesting.

Perfect shot Denise, love the smooth BG and all those feather details. I also like your original crop with more room. It's very minor but I see a slightly grainy patch between the beak and feathers, maybe it was left out of the blur mask?
    Great shot, TFS

Hey Denise, I really like this. Firstly, your OP works well, and I just like the exposure and overall sharp detail in this. Pops from the darker BG so well. I agree with Arash with the slight noise below the beak. Great image.

Another vote for OP. OP rocks! :D. This is lovely Denise. Excellent eye contact, low view and composition. Don't mind the ring either. :)
