Not sure if these big birds are allowed here but I took this shot in 2006 during San Francisco fleet week, They were close and one of the pilots is looking at the camera :D

This is just like doing birds !!! All applies Might want a little more separation with the trailing plane and more room up front for the planes to fly into !!! ... they are always a treat !!!

Don't worry, Arash. Those aren't birds, they are hornets. Nice image. I suspect the pilot in #2 is looking at #1 and not the camera...

the angels are tougher to photograph than the thunderbirds!! must use +EV and have good light!!! there seems to be a slight blue color cast over the planes. i find them a little difficult to process too! also, when shooting the jets, it will help to shoot with the aperture wide open for more ss. you will not lose much dof because they are so far away.

i like the formation you got here. as said above, if there was separation between 1 and 3 it would be perfect!!
