    Adcolon,

    I like the mimics, the bee mimics and the hoverfly mimics, I think they are so interesting. Here you did a great job on the exposure and the detail and sharpness are good too. I like the angled comp also. I would have liked to see the whole wing tip and maybe a better looking perch. A good quality perch can really make the shot. The midnight background is not for me but thats a personal preference.

    Hi,

    I know Robert does not like the dark BG's as we have discussed that with our bird images. OTOH, I like them a lot and do so here as well. Nice work.

    Nice capture and good detail on the bee - if I may add to the BG discussion - I tend to ride the fence, but to me the background works and helps puts more emphasis on the insect and flower.
