Default Gull hanging in the sky

At the ferry to Texel there are so many Gulls hoping to get something nice to eat!

I like the gliding pose, dangling feet and that the sun shines through them. I would place the bird a tad further to the left in the frame and wish the angle were less steep. What kind of gull is this?

Dittto Axel plus lots of flash. I am thinking that this is a Lesser Black-backed Gull.

I agree about the flash to compensate for the back light. I do like the way the light shines through the feet.

I agree that the gull sbhould be moved slightly further into the frame. Fill flash would be a great addition here! Nice posture and sharpness, like the backlight on the feet!
