I had trouble trying to recover detail in highlights on back, but I'm not sure they're actually blown out.

Whites are looking kind of iffy. Other than that its a very nice image.

The easiest way to tell if a colour is blown. In photoshop, open the Info window and then choose any tool with a point on it. I chose the pen tool for this. Move the tool over an area in question and it will show you the values in the Info window. You can see here the Green and Blue Channels are blown as they are at 255 which is white. The Red Channel is almost blown as well. Hope this helps.

Nice group, pose and BG, though.

Thanks, Jody. I find these quick Photoshop tips quite helpful, as I see many constructive critiques on the forum involve the digital darkroom, but many of us don't know how to act on these tips.

As a beginner in photoshop, i appreciate very much this kind of tip you gave Jody.
It could be more useful, however, if you could give a step by step handling .
,As far as your photo is concerned, i could tell that i found it very interesting and graceful. The white is clean and contrast very well with the dark blue ocean.

Comments about whites noted above but very nice colors and a nice seaside feel to this shot.
