Different pose of the same bird Hendri Venter posted yesterday. Taken at Mankwe hide in the Pilanesberg National Park. BG is typical of Mankwe.

Nice colors as the browns and tans all look good with an interesting perch. The bird looks a little dark to me and I would like see more detail in the dark brown feathers.

I like the wing-stretch pose, sharpness and BG. The whites could go a bit darker for my taste and there are some artifacts in the BG.

I absolutely love the pose here, and the light seems like it was pretty darn nice. I see the artifacts in the BG too - most likely due to compression. I would probably give a tiny bit more room at right, just enough to prevent the perch from being clipped as it is now. Very appealing image!

Nice one Gerrie. Those backgrounds at Mankwe are awesome !! Like the angle of the bill and the look of determination of this little guy - well done.

Great light, nice pose, perch and BG. I also agree with a little more room at the right of the perch.

Hi Gerrie, I like the light and colours in this, and overall nice and sharp. If this was mine, I would take a bit off the top, and maybe lighten the eye a tad. Killer BG BTW, and well captured.

Beautiful Image! It almost looks like animation to me. Love the lighting, pose, perch and the BG.
