I've got another vertical frame too but for this i liked the horizontal so kept it. May be can vertically crop but i liked this (little personal choice ;) )

    Mital:

    Lovely colors,nice exposure, interesting perch.
The image is right on the edge of being oversharpened for my taste, as there are a few jagged edges starting to pop up. Most folks won't mind.

From a comp. standpoint, I might consider coming in from the left (about 2/3rds of the space before the stem) and adding canvas to the right if your are bothered by the squarness of the resulting crop.

You were really in he sweet spot for your lens. I find 6.3- 8 is where it does best.

    thanks for sharing.

Another nice image with a perch that adds to the image. I agree with Randy's crop suggestion. I think it would improve a fine image.

Beautiful colors and I like the perch. I'm wondering if a vertical crop would work with this bird

Beautiful perch and well captured. I think the photo would improve with a vertical crop.

Beautiful bird, good sharpness, perch, and BG. The horizontal crop works for me but I would give it a bit more room at the top.

Stunning as presented. Looks like a Velvia bird.... I am fine with the COMP. If you could have gotten closer or set up a longer lens a VERT might have been even more powerful. What colors and a killer perch.

So vivid. Lovely image. I would have gone for vertical though. Any vertical in the series?
