I did a realism treatment in DAP. I liked the different colors. I had to chop the image off when composing it so I felt the masts would be okay if chopped-let me know your thoughts on the composition.Thanks.:)

Hi Denise, I like this composition very much. My eye is drawn more to the right across the waterway towards the exit. Chopped masts does not have any impact, IMO. I like the colors and the overall atmosphere of the scene. Beautiful work.
colors and comp and render all look good to me Denise.
I think the masts chopped in this instance is totally the best option, as they are
not as strong graphic element as are all the colored hulls.
If I was to nit, I would suggest removing the one little bit of blue/white bow at far left
and extend the dock in its place.....but I am not nitting!!
In the new DAP, learning to use the "dry reveal" brush gives some sweet results
and it is fast to respond yo your changes
Denise, In this case the chopped masts do not really effect the image. Nice overall view...
Great colors and composition! I agree with the others. I didn't even notice the masts were chopped until you mentioned it. My eyes start at upper middle and move counterclockwise throughout the painting, end up with the red boat toward the middle and just stay there.
