    Stuart:

    I like the active pose, splash, foot up, wing spread. Exposure good.
    The light was a somewhat harsh (dark shadows on neck ).

    My biggest concern is the image rather overpowers me with all the bright detail in the background and foreground.. If possible, a lower shooting angle would have thrown the BG further out of focus, and lower in the frame.

    From a comp. standpoint, I would like a bit more room on the left.

    Great action but there seems to be a lot to look at in the picture. You cant always control the background and the background is not your friend here

    I agree with the comments, but you did a great job capturing the bird. Nice and sharp and I love the action seen here. Not always possible, but a calm day with no water ripples and debris is best to capture these guys.
