    “Mr. Big”

    Note:
Mr. Big’s portrait was modified by applying an oil sandstone canvas finish, combined with a poster edge high light to bring out the details in the wings.

Meet Mr. Big; a frisky little fellow that was holding on to the blade of grass as the wind was moving him from side to side, in Pine Crest Gardens, Miami. I actually think that he was enjoying the free ride. Mr. Big was painted with a Nikon D300s using a Nikkor AF-S 300mm f/4 D IF-ED lens, with a Nikkor 1.4 T/C.

    Image Solution:
    focal length @ 630mm / exposure mode @ aperture priority / matrix metering / ISO @ 800 /1/650sec - f/5.6 / exposure comp @ 0EV / white balance @ cloudy / AF Mode @ manual /color mode @ sRGB / tone comp @ 0 degree / hue adjustment @ +1 degrees / saturation factor @ +2 degrees / lighting solution – ambient light / support platform – monopod assist /

Gus, love the BG, remember months ago you did an oil painting type BG, one of my favorites. This effect might have skewed the subjects body a tad. Very creative and colorful.

How cool is that! I like the effect in the BG but it appears to have taken something away from the head. Would you think of masking out the head?? Or do you think that would ruin the image??

Love the pose and the wing position, make me feel like it is doing a balancing act across the grass. Not sure about the painting effect though.

I do like the effect and Mr. Big certainly does seem to have attitude.
