Default Moraine Park Sunset - HDR

I have been exploring HDR'ing, and tonight's sunset was perfect to practice. Went to Rocky Mountain National Park to shot elk, but of course with awesome light most evening, the elk felt like lying around. Walking back to the Jeep the sunset just went crazy. Had to scamper up the hill to find some kind of acceptable foreground, plus had to hide the road and the headlights. I like the Velvia like rich colors.

    Hey Jared,
Nice job eliminating the road and finding a pretty interesting FG. I feel the HDR work is pretty good but maybe just a bit of contrast to the middle ground mountains. Sunset colors and rays are sweet!!!
I think a comp of just the mntns and sky would also have worked also. RMNP is one of my favorites.....this sure does it proud! Very nicely done!

Nice work Jared. Agree with Roman's comment on the middle ground contrast.

I think too if you darkened the middle ground mountains, it would give more separation to the three elements in the image amd would give it much more visual interest. Nicely composed shot IMO.

Beautiful image Jared. I'll continue to broken record on increasing the contrast on the middle mountain a tad - they look just a bit washed out adjacent to all the other wonderful colors you captured.
