The dwarf mongoose is one of Africa's smallest carnivores, measuring about 35 cm (a little over a foot) from nose to tail! They are quite shy and timid, but if you find them at a termite mound, as in this image, they soon settle down and give you an opportunity to take quite a lot of pics.

This is lovely Ajit. The light and eye contact work really well. My only thought being a snip off the left and top may enhance further... (that's from me who usually likes more space,,,, :)). Lovely shot!
Wonderful animals, pose, and use of d-o-f. Lots of fill flash here would have helped quite a bit as the backlit animals are dark and in need of more fur detail.

Agree fill flash would have made a big difference but the lack of it doesn't take anything away from this image for me. I love the lighting you achieved, love the way it lights the ears especially. I really like the feel of this image.
