I have been admiring all the shore birds that have been posted, and thought I would post, not one, but two. This was taken just a little while back on the South Coast, south of Durban. My own critique, their beaks are overlapping. I found these guys very busy, as they didnt keep still, thus I decided to rather get the shot of them together, rather than miss the shot completely.

I really like the moment and the soft/warm light!

Light angle is not ideal as it created a lot of shadows on the birds, I do like how the rock frames them, BG is nice. It looks a bit soft in my monitor and the edges of the birds looks stange (blured) ... could it be?

    Thanks guys.

Ramon, if I can remember the light was from behind me, and possibly the rocks were shadowing the birds. Yes, I agree this does look a bit soft after having another look.

I like the interaction between the birds and the low angle. I might light up the area round the eye area of the bird on the right. The beaks overlapping does not bother me. Lovely image.

I like the warm colors, the rock and the well captured moment.
    Agree with the softness feedback.

Nice to have to in the frame. I like the interaction, angle and BG. The focus seems to be on the bird on the right and I wish that bird would give us a bit more eye contact.

Hey Stu, I like the double here. Your capture angle was perfect and the light seems good to me. Pity the shadows on the right bird though.

Lovely duo and warm light Stu. Shadows and softness mentioned, but remains appealing and has wonderful light quality.
