Here's another beauty from Ecuador. I just love the feather pattern on the face of these guys.

For those interested I have finally uploaded all 375 species of birds that I photographed down there to - www.glennbartley.com

    Cheers!

Super colour and detail on the face and bill. Good BG.
Was he very close, I thought you would have a bit more DOF at F8.

I love the overall composition and agree with the comments above. I love the moisture on the branch. I am a little distracted by the flash detail in the eye - the 2 parts of highlight separated by (possibly your silhouette) keeps drawing my eye from the rest of an otherwise great shot. Can't wait to see your other images.

Lovely subject and it seems as if it has a "chain-of-armour" around the head area. I really like the general composition as well. A well done for me.

What a little beauty. Great detail. Ditto on the comment about the eye. I think I'd look at a quick clone. Thanks for sharing this one. It is a great view

Beautiful bird, nice colors, perch is on the large side, but beautiful as well. I like the image as it is, though the multiple catchlight is a bit distracting; maybe by removing one would give an unnatural look but worth trying for sure. Congratulations.

Beautiful bird - and photograph!, Glenn. Very nice use of restrained flash giving a very 'natural light' feel. I think the catchlight in the eye looks very natural, typical of what one gets in tropical rainforest situations where there is not a clear area of sky.
